Kelly Mattarocci, CPA is a mulit-disciplinary, vertically focused firm offering advisory, accounting, and cross-organizational analytics to enable pursuit of the return on your investment you expect.

We founded Market and Margin to give business professionals a different, better way to work with their company financials. We empower our clients by merging the latest technology with decades of hands-on experience to give them a better way to grow the businesses they love.

We bring you the experience of the Big 4 accounting firms, but instead of helping big companies get bigger, our passion is working with small and emerging companies looking for the same level of accounting & finance expertise. We relieve our clients of their day to day transactional data burden by delivering reconciled financial statements, management & investor ready reporting packages, strategic models and financial insights. Our goal is to help every business we serve to have the right financial data and processes they need to get to the next level. 

Our CEO

Kelly Mattarocci, CPA, CGMA, MBA

Kelly Mattarocci is a financial professional with more than 25 years’ experience. She started her career by receiving her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Texas at Austin. Kelly then went on to receive a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Texas State University located in San Marcos, Texas. Additionally, Kelly obtained a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license through the State of Texas, and a Certified Global Management Accountant (CGMA) certification issued by the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants (AICPA).

 

Her education and years of experience culminates in operations, product, management, accounting, financial, compliance, and other technical knowledge.

She has experience at notable companies such as Dell, Dell Financial Services, Forestar Group, Inc. (a Temple-Inland divestiture), Talecris Biotherapeutics ($500M divestiture from Bayer, then $1B acquisition by Grifols), Quintiles, Aeterna Zentaris, New Horizons Raleigh, North Carolina, and Learn on Demand Systems (now Skillable, named on Inc. 5000 for 2020 & 2019). 

Kelly has served as Chief Financial Officer at a for profit higher education IT Training and a SaaS company. A few notable success during her tenure are: 

leading the charge of digitally transforming the back office, 

and solidified the first stage of a 5-year exit strategy.

 

This capital raise, in addition to two other capital raises, has Kelly's total equity transactions near the $65M mark.  

Additionally, Ms. Mattarocci gives back to her community through nonprofit work. Her nonprofit experience starts in the 1990’s where she held the fiduciary responsibility for the Texas Parks and Recreation Society including quarterly Board of Director’s presentations. Additionally, she also served on the board for the Tammy Lynn Center, and various special committees for Band Together NC while living in North Carolina. Along with her nonprofit service while in North Carolina, Kelly served as the Vice President and President of the North Carolina Society of CPAs Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, NC chapter.

Currently, she is the Treasurer and Secretary of the Misty Carol Project, Inc. where she submitted the 501(c)3 nonprofit application for this startup nonprofit waiting for its application approval.

Kelly has had the good fortune of being featured in "Go Beyond Disruption" podcast series,  a joint production of the AICPA and the  Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA). 

She also was featured in an earlier podcast, Using AI for Better Business Strategies, in the same series, "Go Beyond Disruption".

During non-working hours, she spends time on her ranch in the Texas Hill Country with her husband, dogs, and chickens. She enjoys gardening, cooking, boating, and working out.
